Sebastian County search warrant ends with seizure of multiple drugs and firearms

Officials said "trafficking of large amounts of fentanyl and methamphetamine into the River Valley" led to a deep narcotics investigation.

SEBASTIAN COUNTY, Ark. — According to a social media post by the Sebastian County Sheriff's Office (SCSO), a search warrant involving over half a dozen separate agencies resulted in a large drug bust on Feb. 14, 2024.

Officials said "trafficking of large amounts of fentanyl and methamphetamine into the River Valley" led to a deep narcotics investigation resulting in the bust. SCSO said this is why an increase in marked and unmarked law enforcement vehicles has been seen in the county recently.

Almost 20 firearms and multiple drugs were seized by officials. 

The drug investigation involved the following agencies: 

  • Arkansas State Police
  • Sebastian County Sheriff's Office
  • Fort Smith Police Department
  • Van Buren Police Department
  • Greenwood Police Department
  • Mulberry Police Department
  • Barling Police Department
  • 12th Judicial Drug Task Force
  • 21st Judicial Drug Task Force
