SALLISAW, Okla. — A district attorney announced on June 20 that murder charges have been filed against Stacy Lee Drake, who is accused of killing two people at LaFerry's Propane in Sequoyah County, Okla. on June 18.

In this filing, the double homicide victims have been identified as Tara Underwood and Taylor Sharp.

"This senseless and violent act is truly heartbreaking," District Attorney Jack Thorp said. "These victims and their loved ones deserve justice, and we will fight to see that done."

Drake was arrested in Morrilton, Ark. on June 20 after a days-long manhunt.

Shortly after his arrest, Drake was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

On June 18, the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office was notified of the incident after Underwood's fiancé reportedly found Underwood and Sharp's bodies at LaFerry's.

The sheriff's office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation's assistance with the double homicide.

According to court documents, agents obtained surveillance video from LaFerry's Propane. The footage reportedly showed the suspect, who was later identified as Drake, walking into LaFerry's at 2:49 p.m. and walking out at 3:05 p.m.

"During that time frame, no other persons enter or exits the LaFerry's business," documents say.

Once Drake left the business, he allegedly drove away in Underwood's car. Documents specify that no other person came or left LaFerry's until Underwood's fiancé arrived.

Underwood's car was later found at a Motel 6 in Morrilton, 125 miles east on Interstate 40. After the Morrilton Police Department and Arkansas State Police spotted the car, documents say they checked the Motel 6 surveillance footage, which showed Drake wearing the same clothes as the LaFerry's footage.

Documents say Drake provided an Alabama driver's license to Motel 6.

With the deaths of Underwood and Sharp, Drake is a suspect in a total of four homicides.

Police in El Reno, Oklahoma, confirmed that the third homicide in Oklahoma was tied to Drake happened on June 14.

Captain Jack Kennedy with the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office's (TCSO) Violent Crimes Unit verified Drake is also a suspect in another homicide investigation after a man's body was found at an Alcoholics Anonymous building on May 14.
