ROGERS, Ark. — Two people have been arrested and are facing attempted murder charges after a stabbing incident in Rogers.
Mischel Maritza Carrasquero-Romero and Maikel Ruiz-Alvarado were arrested by the Rogers Police Department (RPD) and booked into the Benton County Jail on July 27 for attempted capital murder.
According to their booking information, Carrasquero-Romero faces an additional count of hindering apprehension or prosecution while Ruiz-Alvarado faces an additional count of first-degree battery.
Bond has not been set for either person as of 9:15 p.m. on July 27.
According to Keith Foster, the public information officer for RPD, Rogers dispatch received a phone call from Mercy Hospital advising that a 19-year-old man had come in with a "significant stab wound to the chest."
Police later learned that the stabbing occurred at 2002 W Pine St.
The suspects left the area on foot and were later located at a Super 8 Motel in Fort Smith, Foster told 5NEWS. The victim remains in critical condition in the ICU.
