WASHINGTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — The Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) says that a shooting at a party over the weekend left one injured.
A release from WCSO says that on May 5 at 1:15 a.m. deputies responded to a possible shooting on North Salem Road just outside of Fayetteville city limits.
The residence was being used as an Airbnb and was rented for a small gathering, the release said.
An investigation discovered that a different party in the area was shut down due to noise and a large number of people went to the North Salem address. At around 1 a.m., shots were fired, and someone was severely injured.
WCSO says that the victim remains under medical care, and that no arrests have been made at this time.
Anyone with information about the incident or the shooters is encouraged to contact WCSO detective William Mason at 479-444-5724. The investigation is ongoing.
