HUNTSVILLE, Ark. — The list of Arkansas school districts opting for four-day school weeks is growing as one local school is planning on implementing the change as early as next year.
The Huntsville School District (HSD) announced this week that the move was approved by the school board during a meeting on March 11 and will be implemented in the 2024/25 school year.
The change after two surveys that the district sent out. The first survey, an online one, garnered over 1,000 responses.
Starting in the next school year, students in the district will attend classes Tuesday through Friday.
