JOHNSON, Arkansas — 5NEWS spoke with Dr. Appathurai Balamurugan (Dr. Bala) from the Arkansas Health Department Monday (June 22) about COVID-19 in the state.
Dr. Bala's specialty is family medicine.
The focus of the conversation was on the COVID-19 cases in Northwest Arkansas, community spread of the virus and how the state and local governments are helping inform minority populations where the disease is spreading faster than others.
