FORT SMITH, Ark. — To celebrate National Health Center Week (NHCW), River Valley Primary Care Services is hosting two health fairs in the River Valley this month.
NHCW is Aug. 4 through 10 and aims to increase awareness of community health centers.

The event will provide free:
- Health screenings
- Blood pressure checks
- Pulse oxygen checks
- Glucose checks
- Free HIV testing
The first health fair will be held at Lavaca Wellness Center on Aug. 6 from 3-7 p.m. It is located at 603 S. Division St.
The second health fair will be held on Aug. 10 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Northside Clinic in Fort Smith, 4900 Kelley Hwy.
Local vendors will also be on site.
