ALMA, Ark. — A new 5,000-square-foot primary care clinic is set to open in Alma on Thursday, July 11. This will be the first Mercy clinic in the town.
Mercy Clinic Primary Care – Heather Lane will be located at 605 Heather Lane and operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
According to Mercy, some of the services that will be provided include:
- Preventative care and health screenings
- Vaccinations and immunizations
- Diagnoses and care for common illnesses and minor injuries
- Management of chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure
- Referrals to a specialist
- Same-day acute care access
- Medication management
Steve Gebhart, Mercy's vice president of operations for primary care, said the hospital is excited to serve Alma residents.
"This is an opportunity for Mercy to expand its services in a new location; we are growing in an effort to meet the needs of patients where they live," said Gebhart.
Walk-ins are welcome at the clinic, but appointments can be made by calling 479-407-6051.
