CHOUTEAU, Okla. — A teenager is dead after the horse-drawn carriage he was driving was hit by a semi in Chouteau, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).
According to the report, the crash happened at around 11:12 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10 at the intersection of US-412 eastbound.
Emergency crews pronounced the 17-year-old dead at the scene, according to officials. Due to the age, the teenager's name is not being released. Officials say the driver of the semi was not injured.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated according to OHP.
