CEDARVILLE, Ark. — On Friday, Aug. 30, the Cedarville Fire Department responded to a crash on Highway 59 that left two cows injured.
Officials said the driver of a pickup truck hit the two cows at around 2:30 a.m. The driver was not harmed but the two cows suffered injuries, according to officials.
Fire crews secured the scene and controlled traffic until the scene was cleared.
"We urge drivers in rural areas to be cautious, especially during early morning hours when visibility may be limited. Livestock owners are also reminded to regularly check fences and gates to prevent animals from wandering onto roadways," said Cedarville Fire and Rescue.
The owner of the cows has not been located as of 1:45 p.m.
