Police: 65-year-old dies in fiery crash in Benton County

According to officials, the single-vehicle crash took place at around 10:45 p.m. on Highway 43 and Wet Prairie Road.

BENTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — A 65-year-old man died in a fiery crash on Wednesday, May 29, in Benton County, according to the Arkansas State Police

The man was identified as Tony Ward of Maysville. 

According to officials, the single-vehicle crash took place at around 10:45 p.m. on Highway 43 and Wet Prairie Road. 

The crash report states that Ward was heading northbound on Highway 43 near Scates Road when he left the road and hit a tree, causing his vehicle to catch fire. Ward died as a result.
