ARKANSAS, USA — This year's medical marijuana sales in Arkansas are down 4% compared with 2023's sales, according to Scott Hardin with the Department of Finance and Administration.
Between January 1, 2024, and June 30, 2024, medical marijuana sales were at $135.5 million. In the same timeframe last year, sales were at $141 million. Hardin said the year-to-year decrease was around $5.5 million.
According to Hardin, the state collected a total of $7.9 million in tax revenue from medical marijuana sales between April and June. Since Arkansas's medical marijuana industry launched in 2019, state tax revenue collection is now at a total of $136 million.
The Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission will meet on July 11 to discuss the transfer of ownership for several dispensaries, including Good Day Farm, Enlightened Heber Springs, Good Day Farm Hensley, and Dark Horse Medicinals.
