Arkansas woman continues search for her mother 7 years after she disappeared

Though her mother disappeared nearly seven years ago, one Arkansas woman hasn't given up hope that her mother is still out there.

FAULKNER COUNTY, Arkansas — Seven years ago, a Faulkner County woman disappeared without a trace.

No one has seen or heard from her since, but her family is sure she is still alive.

Nikki Driscoll remembers her mother, Kelly Evans, as being a fiery person with a wicked sense of humor.

Since 2017, Driscoll has been searching for her mom in hopes of being able to see her once more.

"It's just absolutely crazy to me that I have another child that doesn't even know who she is because [my mom] has always been such a big part of my life," she said.

On October 14, 2017, Evans was officially declared a missing person.

Driscoll said the last contact she had with her mother was over text that same night, and around midnight the texts stopped.

While Evans hasn't been heard from by her family, her daughter said there is a crucial piece of information that could lead to where she's been.

Two months after her disappearance, Driscoll said she saw her mom in an old teal Ford truck with an orange stripe around the body of the vehicle.

"When its headlights met my headlights because I was pulling out of the driveway, I saw my mom in the passenger seat of the truck. She ducked her head and covered her face and it took off," she described.

Since her mom's disappearance, Driscoll has become an administrator of CAYA Ministries— a non-profit transformational home for women.

It's a group that helps other women during crisis situations know they won't give up.

Something Driscoll wants her mom to know is that she will keep fighting for her.

"She still has a home. She still has a vehicle. She still has belongings. She has grandchildren she's never met. We just want our mom. We just want her back," said Driscoll.

Kelly Evans is 61 years old now and is described as being 5'6" with tattoos on her neck, shoulder, and back.

If you have any information on her whereabouts, you are asked to call Lieutenant Woodward or Investigator Howington at the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division at (501) 450-4917.
