ASP searches for suspect involved in highway fatality of ARDOT worker

Arkansas State Police are helping the U.S. Marshals in finding a Memphis man wanted in connection to the I-55 death of an ARDOT worker in September.

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — Arkansas State Police are currently helping the U.S. Marshals Service in finding a Memphis man who is wanted in connection for the death of an ARDOT worker in September.

According to reports, on September 18 at about 10:00 p.m., a police pursuit began when the West Memphis police stopped a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Calvion Dayshun Thomas, along East Broadway due to a traffic violation. 

During the pursuit, the suspect fled at a high speed and entered onto I-55 South, headed toward a construction zone.

The suspect vehicle then hit and killed 36-year-old Justin Delgado of Lola, Texas who was working the construction zone along I-55. A second worker was also hit by the vehicle and remains in serious condition.

Now, police continue to search for Thomas. He is wanted on felony charges of first-degree murder, first-degree battery, and theft by receiving and fleeing.
