The destruction called for a disaster declaration by the Arkansas governor that was soon approved by President Biden. Numerous organizations have also came out of state to help clear the debris and support those in need.

Officials said this fund was administered by the Excellerate Foundation, who also helped during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to officials, the fund "offers immediate financial aid to eligible residents and nonprofit organizations."

The fund offers short-term financial assistance to households earning $125,000 a year or less. The help is also available to local nonprofits "for their disaster responses."

Residents will also receive a resource plan to help them meet their needs.

CEO of Excellerate Foundation, Jeff Webster, said this assistance "complements other relief funding from agencies like the Red Cross and FEMA by covering needs that they might not consider eligible and by having a fast turnaround time to address the most critical needs quickly."
