Crews work to repair Benton Washington Regional Public Water Authority generator impacted by power outage

"Carroll Electric is currently clearing the road down to a distribution switch that should allow us to reenergize the substation," said BWRWA.

PEA RIDGE, Ark. — Editor's Note: An order for immediate water conservation was canceled by the Two Ton Water Authority on the afternoon of May 27.

According to the City of Pea Ridge, the Benton Washington Regional Water Authority (BWRWA) is working to fix problems with their water production.

BWRWA said it has issues with a generator at its facility "that will not hold a load on it without it overheating." Crews worked overnight to fix the issues.

"Carroll Electric is currently clearing the road down to a distribution switch that should allow us to reenergize the substation and get back up operating early this afternoon," said BWRWA.

Here are some ways you can conserve water according to EcoWaste Coalition:

  • Fix dripping pipes, faucets, hoses
  • Turn off the water while brushing your teeth
  • Take shorter showers
  • Use fewer utensils and dishes
