BOONEVILLE, Ark. — A boil order has been issued in Logan County for Booneville Waterworks customers, according to the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH).
According to officials, the boil order is for Plum Street, the area going east of Plum Street and Highway 10.
The boil order was issued as a precautionary measure due to "the possibility that contaminated water may have entered the distribution system as a result of maintenance-related work."
Impacted customers are asked to boil water for one minute before consuming. The boil order will remain in effect until further notice.
