CENTERTON, Ark. — The former Centerton public works director, who was accused of using city funds for personal purchases, has pleaded guilty.
According to court records, Ricky Dale Hudson sentenced to 60 months probation after pleading guilty to using $62,190.46 of city money for personal purchases.
Documents show that Hudson used the city's funds to buy items, including:
- Drill press
- Calligraphy stencil kit
- Ceiling fan
- Heavy-duty dolly roller
- Folding truck bed
- Cover utility box
Among the purchased items, records also show Hudson bought several items for a Ford F-150 and F-250 pickup trucks that he owns or had owned.
Upon inspecting his home in 2021, police found 726 items that matched invoices, receipts, and record purchases and arrested him.

- City Credit Cards - $27,721.38
- Auto Zone - $4,313.73
Hudson was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card and a total theft of $62,190.46 that he owes back to the city. His 60 months of probation for the two charges will run concurrently.
