FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — A child has died and many were injured in an early morning accident in Fayetteville on Jan. 14, according to an Arkansas Department of Public Safety's crash report.
The report said a Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane on Fulbright Expressway.
Meanwhile, a Chevrolet Equinox was traveling westbound in the westbound lane with the child as a passenger.
At 4:35 a.m., the two vehicles collided, "causing severe front-end damage to both vehicles and resulting in the fatality of a minor passenger," the report said.
Both drivers and three passengers were injured and taken to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville and Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.
Officials are investigating the incident.
