Police say child that fell out of car at Rogers intersection has been taken to hospital

The child reportedly fell out of the back seat after the door "unexpectedly opened" as the vehicle turned at the intersection of Dixieland and Pleasant Grove.

ROGERS, Ark. — The Rogers Police Department (RPD) confirmed that a 9-year-old child was taken to the hospital after falling out of a car on Oct. 14. 

According to RPD's Public Information Officer Don Lisi, the child fell out of the back passenger seat after the door "unexpectedly opened" while the vehicle was turning at the intersection of Dixieland Road and Pleasant Grove Road. 

The child was transported to a nearby hospital to be evaluated. Lisi did not provide further details on the child's condition. 

The investigation is ongoing.
