FORT SMITH, Ark. — The Fort Smith Fire Department (FSFD) has announced that a controlled burn will take place this morning.
According to the release, the controlled burn will take place at 4000 Wheeler Avenue at 8:30 a.m.
The burn will involve propane from a large storage tank, so residents may see flames in the area.
FSFD assures the public that there is no immediate danger.
Please be aware that this is a planned and managed event," FSFD said.
