BENTONVILLE, Ark. — A four-day wellness and meditation festival is coming to Bentonville next month thanks to a collaboration with Crystal Bridges, the Momentary, and Grammy-nominated artist Jewel.
The festival, taking place at both the Momentary and Crystal Bridges campuses, begins on May 2 and ends on May 5.
The festival will include workshops, meditations, sound baths, culinary activations, family-friendly engagements, and talks with Arianna Huffington, Tonya Lewis Lee, Alice Walton and more, Crystal Bridges said in a release.
The festival is in celebration of the opening of The Portal, an exhibit described by the museum as "an immersive journey at the intersection of music, wellness, technology, and art."
The Portal experience includes a 200-piece aerial drone show orchestrated by Jewel and set to an original score. Also included is a meditative art walk featuring works from contemporary artists, a never-before-seen painting and sculpture from Jewel, and chef-crafted dining options, according to the release.
"Filled with activities exploring different aspects of whole health, mental wellbeing, and flourishing across the three spheres, the festival is the perfect way to mark the opening of The Portal," Crystal Bridges said.
"From the seven-foot hologram of Jewel welcoming you to the experience to the culminating choreography over the museum’s central pond, each element of the experience invites us to explore Jewel’s concept of the Three Spheres of human existence: the inner world, outer world, and the unseen world," Crystal Bridges said.
The museum says that the experience promises a "moving, restorative experience unlike any other."
