Boat crash at Lake Eufaula leaves 1 dead, OHP says

​The crash report states that it happened at around 11:37 p.m.

EUFAULA, Oklahoma — According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), a deadly boat crash took place at Lake Eufaula on Sunday, May 26. 

The crash report states that it happened at around 11:37 p.m. near "Number 9 marina, Longtown area" of the lake. 

OHP said the boat was headed "southbound crossing under Number 9 bridge" when it ran aground, striking several trees. The two passengers, 23-year-old Christianson Adams of McAlester and 25-year-old Charles Gustafson of Indianola, were both ejected, the report said. 

The report states Adamson suffered a head injury and was soon released from the hospital, but Gustafson was pronounced at the scene.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
