Elkins woman dies in head-on collision in Washington County

Sarah Braswell, 47, veered into the turning lane and hit a stopped Toyota head-on around 2 p.m. on Saturday.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — A head-on collision in the 1700 block of North Crossover Road in Fayetteville on March 30 killed a 47-year-old woman, according to the Arkansas Department of Public Safety

Sarah Brasswell of Elkins was driving a Subaru northbound on North Crossover Road in the inside lane when she attempted to get in the turning lane. At the time, a Toyota was stopped, facing southbound in the middle turning lane, and waiting for traffic to clear to turn left into a private driveway. 

Braswell veered into the turning lane and hit the Toyota head-on around 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The driver and passenger of the Toyota were injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
