Fayetteville man dies in single-vehicle crash on State Highway 16 near Siloam Springs

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. — A Fayetteville man died in a crash on State Highway 16 near Siloam Springs on Wednesday, July 17, according to the Arkansas State Police. The crash happened at around 10:44 p.m., according to the crash report.

The 29-year-old man was identified as N B Johnson, who was driving a 2009 Mercedes Benz.

According to the report, Johnson was headed westbound on State Highway 16 when he was "negotiating a right-hand curve" and veered off the road, striking a tree and culvert before overturning. Johnson did not survive the crash.

Although the weather was reported as "clear," officials said the road was wet at the time of the crash.

No further details were released.
