FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The City of Fayetteville is warning of potential interruptions to their curbside recycling program amid a shortage of drivers.

According to a release from the city, curbside recycling routes could be affected as soon as Nov. 12 and could last until new drivers are hired, but that "all efforts will be made to service as many efforts as possible."

Due to the lack of drivers, the city said that customers placing their 18-gallon bins on the curbside during their normal days may notice that their route isn't serviced as normal.

If your bin isn't serviced, you can utilize the city's two drop off facilities which are available 24 hours a day and can be found here:

  • Happy Hollow Recycling Dropoff - 1420 S Happy Hollow Rd
  • Marion Orton Recycling Center - 735 W North St

The city noted that residential trash, commercial trash, commercial recycling routes, and yard-waste collection routes will not be affected.
