BENTONVILLE, Ark. — The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced where the Disaster Recovery Center will be located to provide one-on-one help to Arkansans applying for assistance.
Starting Thursday, June 6, FEMA will have representatives at the Northwest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) Becky Paneitz Student Center, room 108, at 1211 SE Eagle Way in Bentonville. The center will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Representatives from FEMA, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Arkansas departments, and community partners will be at the center to help residents from Benton, Boone, and Marion counties. Residents do not need an appointment to visit the center.
Please call 833-285-7448 (dial 2 for a Spanish option) if you need any accommodations while visiting the center, such as a language interpreter.
The Small Business Administration also opened a Business Recovery Center in Rogers where business owners and homeowners can submit federal disaster loan applications.

In addition to the newly opened center, FEMA deployed Disaster Survivor Assistance crews to disaster-affected neighborhoods in Benton And Boone counties on June 5.
"The FEMA staff may help Arkansans apply for federal assistance, identify potential needs, and help make connections with local, state, federal, and voluntary agencies," FEMA said.
Crews will continue to visit communities impacted by the Memorial Day weekend storms, "often going door-to-door to help residents."
These crews will help Arkansans in the following ways:
- Check on application status as well as make necessary changes to applications
- Connect survivors to organizations that can provide disaster-related information
- Connect survivors to organizations that offer disaster related-services for the long-term recovery process
- Explain how to apply for disaster assistance
- Provide all applicants with enough information to ensure equal access
They say these crews are recognizable by their official photo ID. FEMA advises you to ask people offering assistance to show their ID before sharing any personal information with them.
"They may have FEMA clothing, but that can be easily imitated," the agency said.
