FORT SMITH, Ark. — A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for Crawford, Sebastian, LeFlore, and Sequoyah Counties on June 4. The warning is in effect until 9 a.m.
Due to the potential of flooding, Fort Smith police ask residents to avoid driving in certain areas, "especially when a barricade is present."

Police say when heavy flooding comes, they see a surge of calls in the following areas:

- Wheeler Avenue from South E Street to South Y Street
- Towson Avenue / Louisville Street
- Rogers Avenue / Waldron Road
- Midland Boulevard / North 32 Street
- South 10 Street / South B Street
- Common flood spots:

- Broken Hill / Willow Brooke
- South 16th / Rogers Ave
- Highway 271 / Hillside
