BENTONVILLE, Ark. — FORMAT Festival posted on Facebook Friday that it plans to "take a pause" in 2024.
The festival, a celebration of music, art, and technology, has historically been hosted in Bentonville in September.
"2023 was a fantastic year for FORMAT Festival. We are inspired by Bentonville, its community and its dedication to the arts. It has always been our intention to hold FORMAT annually, however, we have made the decision to take a pause in 2024," the post said.
In 2022, the festival's inaugural year, it was held at an outdoor area in Bentonville. The following year, the festival was hosted at the Momentary instead due to "production challenges with its current location."
FORMAT says that the pause will allow event organizers to reimagine aspects of the festival.
"As music, art and technology continue to grow and progress forward, so shall FORMAT, and we will spend this next year reimagining elements of the festival to ensure we continue to deliver exciting and new experiences for our dedicated fans," FORMAT said.
