Fort Smith fire chief retires after 34 years of dedication to the community

Chief Graves dedicated 34 years of his life to servicing the Fort Smith community, the department said.

FORT SMITH, Ark. — The Fort Smith Fire Department announced the retirement of Battalion Chief Tery Graves this month. 

Chief Graves dedicated 34 years of his life to servicing the Fort Smith community, the department said. 

The department shared a social media post saying: 

"Thank you, Tery, for over 34 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Fort Smith and the Fort Smith Fire Department!"
