Fort Smith investigating hit-and-run crash involving motorcycle

The motorcyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash.

FORT SMITH, Ark. — Fort Smith police are investigating a hit and run crash involving a motorcycle that left one person injured.

According to a release from the Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD), a motorcycle and an undisclosed vehicle were involved in the incident at around 7:23 p.m. on Sept. 11.

The crash occurred on Belle and Grand Avenue, according to FSPD.

The motorcyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash. FSPD said it's investigating the crash and anyone with information related to the case should contact 479-709-5000 or 911.

This is at least the second hit and run in Fort Smith in just the past few days, with FSPD reporting this morning that a 69-year-old woman was hit on Sept. 7, and that an investigation is underway in that case.
