FORT SMITH, Ark. — The Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD) is advising motorists to avoid many local streets that are prone to flooding as weather continues to move through 5COUNTRY.
"As our weather event continues, we advise you to avoid the following areas, where we have received reports of flooding," FSPD. "Please do not risk driving into any such locations, especially when a barricade is present."
FSPD says that the following areas should be avoided:
- N. 10/N. B
- Mill Creek Area on Phoenix (1200-1400 Block)
- Towson/Fresno
- Wheeler/S. E
- Wheeler/S. B from Towson
- Grand/N. 16
- Skywood/N. 50
FSPD says that flooding is still possible in areas not listed.
