Fort Smith police say single-vehicle crash damages utility pole on South 58th Street, Rogers Avenue

Fewer than 10 OG&E customers are without power near the intersection as of 3:50 p.m.

FORT SMITH, Ark — The Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD) responded to a single-vehicle crash that damaged a utility pole at South 58th Street and Rogers Avenue on Dec. 15 around 3 p.m.

Police reported injuries but did not specify if it was the driver or if there were other people in the car. 

There was a damaged utility pole where the crash happened, according to police. After the crash, Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company (OG&E) reported that fewer than 10 people were without power near the intersection beginning at 3:26 p.m. 

OG&E said power is expected to be restored by 6:45 p.m. Sunday. 

As police work to clear the scene, they ask drivers to avoid the area.
