FORT SMITH, Ark. — The Fort Smith Police Department announced it would conduct training exercises at Trusty Elementary on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024.
The training will take place at the former school from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. FSPD said the public should not be alarmed when they see multiple police vehicles at the location.
"This exercise is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to ensure that our officers are prepared to respond effectively to any situation," FSPD said.
