SPRINGDALE, Ark. — According to court docs, Springdale poultry company George's Inc. is suing a former employee and two other companies for allegedly conspiring to defraud them out of millions of dollars worth of construction work.

George's is one of the largest chicken producers in America, packaging, transporting, and selling chicken in stores across the U.S.

George's lawyers claim a former director of corporate engineering, Thomas Miller, submitted false invoices to defraud the company while he was in charge of overseeing construction and contractor projects.

"Specifically, Miller orchestrated this scheme to benefit from free or discounted work" on his personal property by company contractors, according to the lawsuit.

Furthermore, the lawsuit claims Miller "directed contractors to do the same," leading to payments for services that were never given to George's.

George's lawyers are demanding repayment for the alleged fraud, and attorney's fees.

They are also asking the courts to impose a constructive trust, which would give the company ownership of any land that was improved by construction work paid for by George's— including Miller's personal property.
