Two dead, four injured after head-on I-40 crash in Van Buren

VAN BUREN, Ark. — A crash just before 4 a.m. on August 4 left two people dead and four people injured, according to the Arkansas State Police (ASP).

ASP reported that a vehicle driven by an unnamed man was traveling the wrong way down I-40 in Van Buren before the head-on collision.

The crash killed the unnamed man, listed as John Doe, and the 18-year-old female driver of another vehicle, while also injuring four occupants of a third vehicle.

After the crash, the vehicle driven by John Doe "burst into flames" according to police.
