HEAVENER, Okla. — A man is dead after a crash that took place in Canadian County on Feb. 6, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).
Officials say the crash took place at around 10:30 a.m. on "248th Street Northwest at the intersection N Fort Reno Road."
The man was identified as 25-year-old Dereck Goodmanson of Heavener. The report states he was driving a 2015 Chevrolet when he was headed southbound on N Fort Reno Road when he "failed to stop at the stop sign."
At the same time, a 2013 Kenworth was headed east on 248th Street and hit Goodmanson on the driver side door, causing his vehicle to spin, the report said. Goodmanson's vehicle left the road while the Kenworth rolled multiple times after the impact.
Goodmanson was taken to a hospital where he later died, "due to whole body injuries," OHP said.
