Power restored for majority of Northwest Arkansas

The majority of the region is under a winter storm watch since Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

BENTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — Hundreds of customers were without electricity as temperatures hit below freezing Monday, Jan. 22, morning. 

According to poweroutage.us, at around 5 a.m., Benton County was showing 832 customers with power outages and 36 in Carroll County. 

By 9 a.m., the majority of power was restored with that number dropping down to 40 in Northwest Arkansas. 

The entire region is under a winter storm watch since Sunday, according to the National Weather Service
