LeFlore County crash leaves 29-year-old dead

A delayed fatality report says Goswick hit a dirt driveway and flipped his vehicle. He was ejected from the vehicle before it came to a rest.

LE FLORE COUNTY, Okla. — A man involved in a LeFlore County crash earlier this month has died, according to a delayed fatality report.

The crash occurred around 8:55 p.m. on Dec. 14, two miles from Spiro, Oklahoma.

Devin Goswick, 29, of Pocola, was traveling southbound on Lock and Dam Road when he departed the roadway.

The report says Goswick hit a dirt driveway and flipped his vehicle. He was ejected from the vehicle before it came to a rest.

Goswick was transported to Baptist Hospital in Fort Smith by LeFlore County EMS and was later transferred to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, where he later died.

Driving at a high rate of speed was the cause of the crash, according to the report. Seat belts were reportedly equipped but not in use.
