OHP: LeFlore County head-on crash involving two motorcycles kills one, injures another

LE FLORE COUNTY, Okla. — According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), a crash killed one motorcyclist and injured another near Big Cedar on Oct. 8.

OHP reports that Dirk Ross, 26, was driving a Harley Davidson on a road west of Kiamichi Valley Vista around 11:30 a.m. when his motorcycle crossed the middle line and struck a 2016 BMW motorcycle driven by Brian Rhodes, 51.

Both drivers were sent to hospitals via air evac— Ross remains in critical condition, but Rhodes was pronounced dead at the hospital in Fort Smith, according to OHP.

Ross is listed as being from Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Rhodes reportedly lived in Amarillo, Texas.
