One dead, another injured after crash in rural Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — A Madison County man has died after a single-vehicle crash in rural Washington County on Sept. 24, according to an Arkansas State Police (ASP) fatal crash report. 

The report says the driver of a Chevrolet Sonic was driving on State Highway 265 around 7:35 p.m. When approaching a right-hand curve, the driver reportedly left the roadway and hit a tree head-on. 

The driver was injured and taken to a nearby hospital. The passenger in the vehicle, 37-year-old Coly Linn of Pettigrew, had died. 

ASP's report said it was raining at the time of the crash and the roads were wet.
