Arkansas State Police confirmed one died and four people were injured in the incident.

BARLING, Ark. — A driver accused of crashing a truck into the Blue Agave restaurant in Barling on Wednesday, Nov. 22, was charged with negligent homicide, four counts of battery, one count of criminal mischief, and one count of driving while intoxicated, officials confirmed.

Arkansas State Police (ASP) identified Larry Stevens, 66, as the driver.

According to the crash report, Stevens was driving in the parking lot, failed to stop, and ran through the north wall of the restaurant at 302 Fort St in Barling around 4:30 p.m.

The Sebastian County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook that multiple injuries were reported following the crash and to avoid the area.

ASP reported that Stevens struck five people seated in the restaurant, killing one and injuring four.

The deceased victim has been identified as Heather White, 48, of Rogers.

Blue Agave said on Facebook the employees are safe and uninjured. They are unsure when the restaurant will reopen.

On Nov. 28, Sebastian County Prosecutor Daniel Shue announced Stevens was charged with negligent homicide for reportedly driving while intoxicated, resulting in the crash.

Shue said Steven's bond has been set at $100,000 cash only, and his next court appearance is set for Nov. 29 at 8:30 a.m.
