ROGERS, Ark. — Mercy announced it is opening three new primary care facilities inside Walmart Supercenters in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley.

The three locations are former Walmart Health centers that recently closed. The release said Mercy "will solely run the clinics," saying "Walmart will not be involved in the provision or oversight of care."

They will be located at:

  • 4780 Elm Springs Road, Springdale
  • 2110 W. Walnut, Suite 100, Rogers
  • 2100 N. 62nd St., Suite A, Fort Smith

Mercy says the facilities will only be primary care, not urgent care. Walk-ins will be welcome, and the hours of each location will be provided at a later date, according to the release.

The President of Mercy Arkansas Communities says this move "aligns with Mercy’s consumer experience and growth strategy in Arkansas.”

Dr. Lance Faddis, regional physician executive over primary care for Mercy Arkansas Communities, said reaching patients is critical to the hospital's history.

“It is our goal that patients continue to receive care that is convenient for them, and these new locations will certainly help Mercy do that," said Dr. Faddis.

The clinics are expected to open by the end of the summer.
