Mercy breaks ground with new primary care clinic in Poteau

Around 5,500 new patients have been seen at Mercy Clinic Primary Care – Poteau since it opened in 2016, with about 37,000 individual patient visits.

POTEAU, Okla. — A new Mercy primary care clinic will be opening in Poteau.

Mercy leaders celebrated by holding a groundbreaking ceremony on Feb. 5.

Mercy Clinic Primary Care – Poteau will be located at 2900 N. Broadway St. replacing the current location at 2110 N. Broadway.

Dr. Arthur Pearson III and Timothy Olive, APN, will continue to provide care for Mercy patients at the new location, which is expected to open later this year.

“I was really excited when we had the chance to expand because we’ve needed it for a while,” said Dr. Pearson, a native of Gore. “I don’t think anybody expected us to be this busy when we came in here, but it just continues to grow. It’s needed. Eastern Oklahoma is underserved in the medical community.”
