Family holds on to hope as the search for Harmoni Jacks continues into fifth day

If you see her or her car, investigators are asking you to immediately call OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.

ARKOMA, Okla. — As the Arkoma Police Department (APD) continues its investigation into the disappearance of Harmoni Jacks, those closest to her are sharing their thoughts, hopes, fears, and prayers.

On Tuesday,  July 9, a Kasey Alert was posted for Jacks, 24, on behalf of APD. Jacks is described as being 5'1" with red hair and blue eyes. She was reportedly last seen driving to Pocola in the early morning of July 7.

In a press conference on July 9, Hunter McKee with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) made an appeal to the public for any information on the 24-year-old's whereabouts. "We're asking for the public's help at this time. We need everything, every bit of information, as soon as possible," McKee said.

Like the rest of the Jacks family, Brady Hope, the father of Harmoni’s son, said he’s coping the best he can.

"I've been sick to my stomach for days. As the days go by it's getting harder and harder," said Hope, who told 5NEWS he saw Jacks suddenly leave the house at 3:30 a.m. the night of her disappearance and get into her car. He said he followed her in his truck, before losing sight of her.

At first, OSBI believed Jacks was going to Greenwood that night. However, surveillance footage shows her heading toward Pocola.

Hope said he called the police while he was following her.

Since Jacks disappeared, her family has done their best to spread the word door-to-door and through social media. They've driven around places she liked to camp, doing what they can.

At Arkoma police's request, they haven't organized a search.

Police Chief Michael Ivy said they’re working on every possible avenue, including helicopter searches in the air and water.

"We’ve issued a request to OHP to use their sonar to check the Poteau River. This is not indicative that we believe she’s there, this is just part of a thorough investigation," Ivy said.

But Harmoni’s sister Felicia continues to remain optimistic through all the concern.

"Hopefully she's just somewhere taking some time and, you know, just being M.I.A. and doesn't have a clue that the entire state of Arkansas and Oklahoma is looking for her," Felicia said.

When asked what Jack's sisters would say to her, they said "Come home, we love her, and we miss her."

Investigators say they will continue the search for Harmoni as day five comes to a close.

If you see her or her car investigators are asking you to immediately call OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
