SALLISAW, Okla. — The Sallisaw Police Department (SPD) has ended a days-long search for a teen who went missing on Sept. 2.

According to a release from SPD, the teen was last seen on Monday at around 3:30 p.m. at her residence in Sallisaw. The teen was considered endangered due to her taking anti-seizure medication daily, according to the release.

On Wednesday, Sept. 4, the department obtained video surveillance that shows the teen exiting her residence at 2:27 p.m. on Sept. 2 and getting into a 2021 blue Chevrolet Malibu, which then traveled southbound.

On Thursday, Sept. 5, Lieutenant Andrew Edwards said family members of Selena and the SPD "spoke with her." Officials said the teen had been entered into the N.C.I.C. "as a runaway," and they would continue investigating.

Hours later, police reported she had been located after she "voluntarily turned herself in to authorities" at the SPD.

Officials said they are still investigating "details surrounding the incident and those involved."
