One dead, another injured after late-night Sequoyah County crash

The cause of the fatal crash is under investigation.

MULDROW, Okla. — According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), a crash on the evening of Oct. 30 killed a Muldrow man and injured another.

OHP has not released exact information about the crash, but two vehicles and four passengers are listed:

  • Vehicle 1: Toyota Tundra
    • Driver: Sherry Bowlin, 46
    • Passenger: Brian Jones, 41
  • Vehicle 2: Chevy Suburban
    • Driver: Leslie Johnson, 57
    • Passenger: Byron Bell, 35

OHP reports that Johnson was taken to Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith with critical injuries, but Bell, who was allegedly pinned after the crash, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

No injuries were reported by occupants of vehicle one. The weather was recorded as cloudy, but dry; the cause of the collision is under investigation.
