SEBASTIAN COUNTY, Ark. — Thousands were without power on the night of Tuesday, July 2, in Sebastian County.
According to the SWEPCO power outage map, nearly 2,000 customers were experiencing outages in the area as of 10:30 p.m., including customers in Greenwood.
At its peak, nearly 3,200 customers were affected in the areas of Bonanza and Greenwood.
Michelle Marcotte with SWEPCO confirmed to 5NEWS that the outage happened because a car hit an electrical pole.
The map said the outage started around 8:15 p.m. and was estimated to be restored at 12:30 a.m. on July 3.
By 6 a.m. Wednesday, the power had been restored entirely.
