SPRINGDALE, Ark. — The Springdale School District is mourning the loss of one of its members.
In a release on Dec. 17, the district confirmed the passing of Brian Handley, football coach and teacher at George Jr. High.
"It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Coach Brian Handley, belove football coach and teacher at George Jr. High," said SSD. "Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and our entire school community."
SSD said grief counselors and mental health professionals will be available on-site to offer support to students and staff.
