LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) has sent an Arkansas crew to Florida in an emergency response to Hurricane Milton, which has intensified to a Category 5.
The Advanced Life Support (ALS) crew departed Little Rock on Sunday and safely arrived in St. Petersburg, Florida to await their assignments.
According to the National Hurricane Center, Milton has upgraded to a Category 5, with winds upwards of 160 miles per hour.
Milton is expected to make landfall later this week.
